Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone)
There are 2 types of Vitamin K: K1 (found in plant food) and K2 (found in animals and fermented food). Several widely available foods are rich sources of vitamin K1, but vitamin K2 is less common. Vitamin K2 activates proteins that play a role in blood clotting and also ferries calcium to your bones—making them stronger while also preventing any build up in your arteries!
